We still have some important lunches and dinners to enjoy during these festivities such as New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day or Kings Day, so if any of you have played host this year, perhaps you are looking for inspiration to dress and decorate your table as the occasion deserves.
Metallic accessories are always a safe bet, such as underplates, chandeliers, Christmas decorations, centerpieces … In order not to overload, it is better to combine them with white tableware and details of natural materials such as raffia, pineapples, wood …
The candles should not be missing, they provide warmth and we can present them in many versions: inside urns and crystal bells, small carved crystal glasses or porcelain plates along with pine branches and / or cones, classic metal candle holders or zinc cubes that give a more rustic touch.
Of course, the little details make all the difference, especially if they are made by ourselves. We can make country-style napkin rings with simple fir or holly branches, a cinnamon stick and a raffia cord, or if we want something more sophisticated, just paint, for example, some pinecones in silver or gold or add a ribbon of satin.
We can also mark each place with the diner’s name on a label placed on their plate or napkin, an ornament on the back of each chair, grouping the cutlery or attaching it to a cone or bag with the grapes from the end of the year dinner.
Write down this idea: if you can, place blankets or fur cushions on each chair, they will make your Christmas table warmer and more welcoming, even if possible.
Be sure that you will be the perfect hosts and will surprise your guests, in addition to making them feel special. Do you have to organize something at home this year? Are you going to decorate the table in a special way?
